Georgian Green Paste & Pearl Memorial Ring for James Carpenter, Esq.
* * SOLD * *
A very sweet Georgian-era memorial ring, made in 12k rosy yellow gold, inscribed for James Carpenter Esq, and dated Jan 1st, 1820. The rectangular ring face is set with a central, flat-cut, green paste stone— this stone is haloed by natural seed pearls, which sit in crimped collet style settings. Two trefoil clusters of larger seed pearls flank this central panel. The twisted ring shank is slender, and was subtly flattened with a file. These little pearls are old and natural, and they vary slightly in color and sheen; some of them display subtle greening. The green paste stone is a deep and lovely emerald color.
