Georgian Era Mourning Ring for M. Snowdon in 15k Gold
* * SOLD * *
An antique ring, made in 15k gold, to memorialize the life of M. Snowdon. This ring features ornate, creaturely, floral decor that is typical of the Georgian period. Resting between these two branching moth-like forms, is a rectangular crystal face, with a natural seed pearl surround. Carefully plaited locks of human hair lie beneath the crystal. The seed pearls range in color along an interesting golden/earthy palate that we especially like with the yellow gold. This ring is engraved, on the reverse, "M. Snowdon, Ob A Olec 1822, Oet 62." This shoulder decor is unusually lovely and well preserved; the tapering decorative shank is also lovely and completely original.
