A delicate, Edwardian-era engagement ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, with a platinum-foiled top, whose central gem is a natural, medium-blue, Ceylon sapphire (approx .40 carats). This ethereal old beauty features an intricate, diamond-studded, open-work face, replete with fine, milgrain details. The cool-blue sapphire is set in a floating bezel, and the ring's scattered, glinting, rose cut diamonds are bead-set, around it. Four of these eighteen diamonds decorate the points of the ring’s central diamond-shaped element, marking the cardinal directions; the rest read like droplets of water clinging to the ring’s shoulders. This is low profile, and visually delicate. We love the graceful geometry of the open-work, and the ring's serene, icy quality.
