Ed Wiener Question Mark Cuff Bracelet
* * SOLD * *
A sterling silver cuff bracelet, made by the important American-modernist silversmith Ed Wiener. This two layer bracelet is an early, rarely-offered design, and I have not seen another example with a question mark overlay— usually the cutaway on the top layer is a blackened, empty space. The silver sheets used in the fabrication of this cuff are soldered together only at the cuff ends— there is space between the layers where the bracelet curves at the center. This is unique and impressive in wear . . . a gem in any advanced collection of modernist jewelry. Marked Ed Wiener, Sterling.
Excellent. Metal shows light surface wear, consistent with normal use.
Inside measures 6" end-to-end (measurement is taken with a soft tape). Gap (opening) is 1 1/4". Bracelet measures 22.75 mm high in the center (at the narrowest point), and 46.3 mm at the widest point. This fits a 6 1/2 - 7 inch wrist.
