Dainty Antique Jhumka Canatille Drop Earrings in High Carat Gold
* * SOLD * *
A dainty pair of Victorian-era, canatille, jhumka drop earrings, made in high carat yellow gold, whose many twisted, gold ribbons quiver (in the most heartbreaking manner), from where they hang beneath each earring's central bell-shaped form. This ornate "bell" is decorated with exquisitely miniature wirework flowers, and a series of small medallions that have been constructed from tightly spiraled wire. A further pendant form, like a bell's tongue, hangs inside the bell, behind the curling ribbons. Earwires are shepherd's hooks. Jhumka is a traditional Indian form. These earrings are lightweight and very kinetic— the slightest movement sets them aquiver!
18k gold (or better)
Earwires are 14k
Earrings measures approx 1 3/8", including earwires.
