Art Deco Solitaire Butterfly Filigree Engagement Ring in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
An Art Deco era engagement ring, made in 18k white gold and set with a single old mine cut diamond. This white diamond is deep, with a high table. It is bead-set into a hex-shaped seat. The ring's filigree gallery features a butterfly motif— this lovely open-winged fellow is surrounded by very subtle floral carvings. The ring's shoulders are each detailed with a small openwork infinity heart. This is a lovely little ring, with unusual details. Insects and animals are rarely found hiding in Art Deco era filigrees. In many cultures the butterfly is representative of the soul.
