An antique, Art Deco era engagement ring, made in 18k white gold and set with a beautiful .60 carat old European cut diamond. This diamond is bead-set into an octagonal seat, at the center of the softly-bombe ring head. The filigree setting is visually delicate, and boasts a myriad of decorative elements, including knife-wire gallery windows, and criss-crossing, dimensional "ribbons" which are all engraved with a traditional wheat motif. Long, pennant-shaped, created sapphire accents, in rub over settings, adorn the ring's shoulders. The slender, engraved shank tapers from the shoulder toward the base. This ring is ornate but exceptionally well-balanced— the little details are a secret for the wearer and are only really visible upon close inspection. Wheat is a traditional motif in engagement rings— because it symbolizes both fertility and productivity, it carries within it hopes for a fruitful partnership.
