Art Deco OEC Diamond Filigree Engagement Ring with Lacey Fan Decor in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A lacy, Art Deco era engagement ring, modeled in 18k white gold, whose gem is an especially pretty, 1/4 carat, old European cut diamond (F/G, VS). This sparkling hand-cut diamond is bead-set into a recessed, hexagonal seat. It has the characteristics that make this old cut so lovable— a small table, a deep pavilion, steep crown facets, and a big, open culet. The ring's shoulders feature beautiful, crisp, filigree decor that resembles lyres from one angle, and from another reveals itself to be an arrangement of fans. This charming fan decor is repeated in the ring's bulbous gallery, while the shank is embellished with a "quilted" series of diamond shapes. This 1920s engagement ring is in unusually fine condition. We love the delicate filigree work and the fine milgrain details! Marked 18k for purity.
