Art Deco Era Blue Sapphire & Diamond Filigree Dinner Ring in Platinum
* * SOLD * *
An elegant Art Deco era dinner ring, modeled in platinum, whose primary gemstone is a natural, oval, 2+ carat sapphire. This vibrant, faceted, medium-blue gem is bezel set into the ring’s square face, where it is accented by a bevy of small, glittering, old cut diamonds. The ring's highly-dimensional, squarish ring head is decorated (entirely) with delicate, hand-pierced filigree that appears as modified meander patterns, and diamond-shaped quadrants, laid against each other, tete-a-tete, functioning also as seats for the ring's many accent diamonds. Its shoulders feature pairs of tear-shaped bezels, each set with two calibre-cut sapphires, one light blue and one dark blue— this creates a subtle ombre effect. This filigree ring is both bold and delicate— it is striking in wear, and would make a wonderful alternative engagement ring.
