Art Deco Cornflower Blue Sapphire Solitaire in 14k White Gold
* * SOLD * *
An antique Art Deco era ring, set with a 1.45 carat natural, medium-blue sapphire. This round, cornflower-blue sapphire has nice, even color saturation; it nests in a pierced basket setting, and is held aloft in four split prongs (or double prongs, if you like). The ring's slender shank is decorated with subtle carving that features a bound detail below the tapered shoulder. This classic solitaire makes a minimalist statement; it would make a lovely engagement ring for a sapphire loving bride, or for someone born in September. Did you know that it was once fashionable to purchase an engagement ring set with your fiancé's birth stone? Metal is 14k white gold.
