Antique Link Bracelet with Natural Gold Nugget Stations in 10k Gold
* * SOLD * *
An antique bracelet, hand fabricated in 10k rosy yellow gold, with natural gold nugget stations. These eleven placer nuggets have wonderful irregular shapes and texture— they stand between the slender, long oval links that comprise the rest of the bracelet. These little gold nuggets would have been mined from a river, using simple tools like a pan or box sieve— gold deposits mined in waterways are called Alluvial deposits, and most of the gold mined in the United States, during the height of the gold rush, was placer gold. The large, open links make it easy to attach a few lightweight charms, should the fancy strike you! Marked 10k on the clasp, to indicate the fineness of the non-nugget gold, and with a small cartouche for the maker. These gold nuggets are high color and are approx 21-22k purity. Closure is an old slide lock box clasp.
