1970s Organic Modernist OMC Diamond and Pearl Nest Ring in 14k Gold

A fierce, mid-20th-century, organic modernist ring, made in 14k yellow gold, whose head is an arrangement of irregular, naturalistic forms, coming together to create a nest for a large, silvery pearl. A beautiful, .30 carat, old mine cut diamond lives beside this pearl, in a four-prong, white gold, basket setting, and a pair of small brilliant cut diamonds project from above it. This form is reminiscent of a lichen or coral colony, and this ring has a big, mystical presence in wear. This weighty darling would make a wonderful alternative engagement ring, for an a-typical bride. Shank is broad and flat.
