Victorian Era Silver Top Five Stone Old Mine Cushion Cut Diamond Ring in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A beautiful, Victorian era, five stone ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold with a silver top. This ring is set with a graduating series of soulful, old mine cushion cut diamonds— these hand-cut diamonds have the steep crown facets, small tables, and open culets that distinguish this beloved old cut. They are held in unusual, modified, ribbon-like prongs, which lend the ring face a somewhat bezel-like appearance. This ring features a deeply-carved, ornate, scrolling gallery— the scroll work, here, is especially clean and well-executed. The ring’s central diamond weighs approx .45 carats; CTW is approx 1.17 carats. This would make an outstanding engagement or wedding ring! Marked W.Mc.G inside a rectangular cartouche (for the maker), and 18ct for purity.
This ring can be resized (down to US 5 and up to US 9). Resizing for this ring is complimentary (just leave your desired size in the notes at checkout).
Ring face measures approx 5.75 mm at center and tapers to approx 4.5 mm; shank measures approx 3.5 mm at the shoulder and tapers to approx 2 mm at the base; rise is approx 4.4 mm. Diamond range I/J/K in color and are SI clarity.
Diamonds are graded independently, by a GIA graduate gemologist.
