Victorian Era Robin's Egg Blue Turquoise & OMC Diamond Halo Ring in 14k Rose Gold
* * SOLD * *
A darling, Victorian-era, turquoise and diamond ring, modeled in 14k rose gold with a silver top, whose central, turquoise gem is held in a moulded piecrust setting. This turquoise cabochon is robin's egg blue, with very light speckling; it is surrounded by a glinting halo of chunky, little old mine cut diamonds, which are held aloft in prongs. This ring head is particularly interesting because it you can see the evidence of its manufacture, having been cast in silver and carefully pierced around each tiny, tab-style prong. This low-profile ring has a crown-like gallery. Its simple, half-round shank tapers from the shoulder. These dainty, Victorian, diamond halo rings are always among our favorite pieces. They are at their best when their tiny diamonds are mine cuts. It is unusual to find one of these old halo rings with a silver top.
