Edwardian Opal & Rose Cut Diamond Halo Ring in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
An antique, Edwardian-era ring, make in 14k rosy yellow gold and fashioned in a classic halo or target style. This ring features a colorful, translucent, opal, that is nested in prongs at the center of a round, finely-pierced, basket setting. The opal is surrounded by a halo of twelve, rose cut diamonds— these old rose cuts have a soulful, irregular sparkle that is especially beautiful in low light. The ring's shoulders are collared; the tapering ring shank is substantial, with a soft knife edge. Lovely proportions. This would make a charming alternative engagement ring.
