Rising Hart Ring in 14k Gold - Custom
* * SOLD * *
An original Poor Mouchette design, featuring a highly-detailed, hand-cast, Victorian-era carving of a hart (or stag). Our stag is rising from a resting position (in heraldry they call a deer in a resting pose 'lodged'). The bent knee and raised face of the hart make this an especially romantic and gentle pose. I like to imagine the hart rising as a metaphor for remaining hopeful and brave about matters of the heart . . . for persisting gently in the face of whatever might oppose us.
Our hart kneels atop a delicate, hand-carved setting, which features a slender, fully round shank that tapers from pedestal shoulders. The fine details of the carving are brought out with a carefully oxidized finish. The ring shank and shoulders are finished with a high-polish. All parts of this ring are made by human animals in Portland, Oregon.
Because of the flat sides of the ring head, this stacks well with other slender bands.
Ring face measures 17.5 mm x 6.25 mm. Rise (off finger) is 12.7 mm. Shank tapers to 1.2 mm. Weight is approx 7 grams.
This ring is available, made-to-oder, in 14k yellow, white & rose gold. Please mention your preferred metal and US ring size in the 'notes' box at checkout, and please allow 3 - 5 weeks for us to complete your jewel. Variations shown here are 14k yellow gold and sterling silver.
