Edwardian Era OMC Diamond Trefoil Earrings in 18k & Platinum
* * SOLD * *
A dainty pair of Edwardian era earrings, modeled in 18k yellow gold and platinum, whose trios of chunky, little old mine cut diamonds are arranged in a trefoil or clover shape. These petite earrings drop just below the earlobe— they would have originally been the top elements for a pair of longer, more "dramatic" earrings. On their own, they are elegant and sparkly, and the perfect size for daily wear. Each diamond weighs approximately ten points— CTW is approx .60 carats. Old mine cuts are especially charming for their tall profile, small table, and open culet. These little OMCs are held in fine platinum bezels, each perched atop a pierced yellow gold gallery, and finished with a milgrain edge. The shepherd's hook earwires are newly replaced.
c. 1910 - 1915
Earrings measure approx 13.3 mm long, including earwires (about 1/2"); width is approx 6.7 mm, at the widest point. Diamond CTW is approx .60 carats. Diamonds are bright and lively.
