An Art Deco era dinner ring, modeled in platinum, whose elegant, elongated shape recalls a shield, designed to span the length of the finger between the wearer's first and second knuckle. This glittering shield is composed of long, crisp, squarish forms, and similarly crisp, ribbon-like forms that appear folded atop them. The ring's central gem, a white, lively, .25 carat transitional cut diamond, is held at the heart of this composition; it nests in a square seat, held in place by in trios of clover-like beads. A pair of cutwork arrows flank the central diamond, and a bevy of old, single-cut supporters enliven every other part of the ring face. This ring is unusual for its "blocky" geometric design we love the dimensionality of the stacked elements, and especially those forms we see as folded ribbons. The ring's square shank is engraved at the shoulders; it tapers toward the base.

This is marked for purity 10% irid platinum. The mark is worn. The ring is in exceptional condition, with the finest, fully-intact milgrain edging throughout. It would make a lovely, unusual engagement ring.
